JORDAN KING JOINS MAHINDRA RACING AS SIMULATOR AND DEVELOPMENT DRIVER
2 February 2021 – Former FIA Formula 2 and IndyCar talent Jordan King will be joining Mahindra Racing in Season 7 as one of the team’s Simulator and Development Drivers. Working alongside Rudy van Buren, who is continuing his role with the team, Jordan will contribute to the development of our team as we compete in the first ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
A current World Endurance Championship driver and race winner, Jordan has plenty of high-quality racing experience that will prove invaluable for the team at Banbury. After huge success in karting, the young Brit moved to single-seaters, winning the British F3 title with Carlin in 2013. From there he stepped up to GP2, as well as signing as development driver for Manor Marussia F1 Team. After a few more years in Formula 2, King crossed the Atlantic to compete in IndyCar, making his debut at the iconic Indy500 in 2019.
The 26-year-old even has prior experience driving a Formula E car for Mahindra Racing, having tested the Formula E car for us during Season 3.
On the signing of Jordan, Team Principal Dilbagh Gill said: “I am delighted to welcome Jordan to our tribe of Passioneers, and I thoroughly look forward to seeing him work alongside Rudy as they contribute to our team this season.”
