Mahindra Racing extends contract with Jordan King
Mumbai / Banbury, October 17, 2023: Mahindra Racing is pleased to announce it has extended its relationship with Jordan King as the team’s Reserve, Simulator, and Development Driver for Season 10.
The 29-year-old joined the team back in 2021 and has since utilised his extensive racing career – including stints in IndyCar, FIA Formula 2 and the World Endurance Championship – to make invaluable contributions to the team’s simulator and development programmes.
King has also enjoyed significant track time in the Mahindra M9Electro, the team’s challenger for Gen3 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, including the Rookie Test in Berlin last May.
He and will do so again in Valencia next week during pre-season testing, alongside race drivers Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara. King’s commitments will also include trackside attendance at selected E-Prix and test events throughout Season 10.
Commenting on the news, Jordan King said: “I’m very pleased to extend my relationship with Mahindra Racing for Season 10.
“Our principal focus over the last few months has been to carry forward our development plan from last season, and Valencia next week will be another important step in the process to inform our work over the rest of the winter.
“It’ll be really quite exciting in Valencia to see how the progress we’ve made in the simulator and off-track translates to performance on it, and what avenues we need to explore next to go even further.
“I’m looking forward to the year, and I’m feeling very optimistic about the season ahead, and the potential that Mahindra Racing has. It’ll be a privilege to undertake their simulator and development work again, and to enjoy some races trackside with the team.”
Mahindra Racing’s CEO Frederic Bertrand added: “Jordan’s work, both at the factory and trackside, gives a vital synergy between our simulator activities and our on-track performance.
“It’s a pleasure to extend our relationship with him into Season 10, and I look forward to another year of progression and development, with his help.”
