Bright Spark Round 4 Report

Motorsport has always seen great fluctuations in fortunes; from joy to despair, from glory to adversity. It is all part of the rich fabric of why we love it so much. At Mexico City last weekend Mahindra Racing experienced the full range of emotions. A technical challenge was met with preparation, anticipation and fortitude as the team were tested on every level. All this meant that our resident engineering guru was on maximum alert to ensure that the adversity was overcome and that a true ‘Miracle in Mexico’ could be made reality.

2020 Mexico City E-Prix Review

The fourth race of the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship took place today in Mexico City. After starting from the back of the grid due to incurring pre-race penalties, both Mahindra Racing drivers showed incredible comeback skills to claw back a combined 28 positions, with Pascal picking up two points for finishing ninth and Jérôme collecting the final point for tenth.

READY TO GO IN MEXICO

Round four of the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship will take place in Mexico City on Saturday 15 February at the modified 2.606km Autodrómo Hermanos Rodríguez. Mahindra Racing’s Pascal Wehrlein and Jerome D’Ambrosio will be in action for the squad in the #94 and #64 M6Electro’s, with their objectives set firmly on building on the team’s performance so far this season as the all-electric racing series moves to the Americas.

Bright Spark Round 3 Report

One word sums up the preparation to manage the infamous Chilean heat in Santiago last weekend: simulation. Dozens of hours of simulation work at Mahindra’s bespoke on-site ‘Driver in the loop’ simulator prepared the Mahindra team to the max as thermal management allied to extracting the best from the M6Electro powertrain in the demanding conditions. We threw a paper cup of chilled water over our resident tech guru The Bright Spark, cooled him down and asked him all about how getting the car and systems chilly in Chile was the overriding theme last Saturday.

2020 Santiago E-Prix Review

The third race of the 2019/20 FIA Formula E Championship took place today in the Chilean capital of Santiago, with teams competing in the searing South American heat. Mahindra Racing’s Pascal Wehrlein and Jérôme D’Ambrosio fought hard in tough conditions with Pascal finishing just off the podium in fourth to open his points account for the season.

The Diriyah track was incredibly low grip when the teams headed out for the shakedown session on Thursday.
